I have always had a passion for people, from a young age I knew what I wanted to do, and here I am, doing it! My education toward this path started, as a lot of good things do, completely by chance. As a young parent I was asked to run workshops to help educate the young people of Cornwall in Sex Education and believe me once you have done that you can do anything! This led me to a diploma in Community Studies, a Degree in Social Sciences, a PGCE in Special Needs Education, and a distinction for my Level 5 in Operational Management. I have worked with people with additional needs for over 20 years in many capacities, including being a registered Makaton tutor. I joined FalCare in 2010 as a support worker, progressed to Deputy Manager in 2015, and now Operations Manager in 2024. I absolutely love this job, never a dull moment!
